Casino Road Kids Ministries
Casino road is a two-mile section of road located in Everett, WA. This road is known for drugs, prostitution, crimes and gang activity. Casino Road is also the home for many immigrant and low-income families and where many children play and walk the streets. Over 70% of these children are living below the poverty line and over one-third are transitional bi-lingual.Casino Road Kids Ministries is a faith-based non-profit that serves children on Casino Road. We provide afterschool homework clubs to help children complete school work & develop leadership skills. During homework clubs, children receive help with school work by a staff/volunteer, help children develop healthy and caring relationships with mentors and other children, give children the opportunity to receive help and learn from musicians (volunteers) in order to grow and improve their musical talents and provide hot meals (pizza, soup, chili, casseroles) or a light snack. During the summer, children and families are invited on field trips to places such as local parks, barbeques, baseball games and other activities. Plus, we provide scholarships for students to attend summer camps and participate in sports leagues.
